Erin has been practicing law for over twenty years and concentrates her practice in the area of family law including divorce, custody disputes, removal, support issues, modifications, paternity, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and guardianships. She has handled many contested family law matters but has been very successful in assisting her clients with reaching favorable negotiated settlement agreements. She is also trained as collaborative law attorney and mediator which has allowed her to develop enhanced proficiency as a negotiator and problem solver. Erin brings years of experience, superb communication skills, and compassion to each case and makes it a priority to help her clients resolve difficult personal matters with a minimum level of conflict and without excessive expense. However, if necessary, she is a zealous advocate in motion practice and at trial.

In addition to her family law practice, Erin provides legal advice and representation in matters involving will contests, estate and trust litigation, breach of fiduciary duty, undue influence, lack of capacity, interpretation of wills and trusts, and real property litigation. She has handled many cases related to property and boundary line disputes including petitions to partition, adverse possession/prescriptive easement matters, waterfront rights, trespass, and nuisance. Erin was lead counsel in the seminal adverse possession case of Lawrence v. Town of Concord, 439 Mass. 416 (2003). Related article: Lawrence v.
